DABCHICK PARK

Public BBQ

This East Cannington gem proves that modern park design can actually get it right. The playground's interactive sand-bucket system transforms the usual mindless digging into something approaching engineering, while kids navigate tree stumps in the nature area with the determination of tiny loggers. The reflexology path challenges adult feet in ways that suggest someone has a wicked sense of humour about bare soles and textured surfaces. The free BBQ facilities anchor family gatherings around proper Australian barbecue traditions, complemented by established trees that provide genuine shade rather than the token saplings found elsewhere. Exercise equipment caters to adults seeking rehabilitation or fitness, while the expansive grassy area accommodates everything from cricket to sprawling family picnics.
